Put a portion of wax material between every photo and put a bunch at a time in plastic bags, close the bags, and then place the bags in the freezer. If the photos were left in books you should determine if you can repair the albums or not. Numerous times it is easier to just throw out the books and buy new ones. After the pictures have dehydrated, check them over to figure out which of them are damaged. They could be torn, have stains, be cracked, or have parts of the photograph rubbed off. All is not gone if this is the situation. If you have a way to a computer with scanning software and a printer there is more that you can do to restore your precious memories. Buy software to alter your pictures. First you scan the pictures into the PC. Choose a picture and with the paint software you can edit the likeness. If part of an individual's face is not there you can reconstruct it using the paint software. If there is a fissure going through a picture you can fill it in so it will no longer be on the photo When you are finished repairing the water damage that was done to every photo, keep the fixed photographs and print them out. Your pictures should be very close to their prior condition once more.
