Sony Ericsson - a camera phone for all occasions

Sony Ericsson have always been heavily involved in making mobile phones with cameras built in, right back as far as the old T610. Now, they're diversifying their camera phone range, complementing their all-powerful Cyber-Shot mobile phones with the new, beginner's Snapshot series.

Way back in the old days of mobile phones (well, 2002...), a phone with a camera built in was something rare and unbelievable. To those of us who remember those days, the first Sony Ericsson mobile phone that had a camera, the P800, was a thing of wonder. However, being a smartphone, it didn't sell. Normal mobile users just weren't ready for that collection of high-end features just yet. It would take another mobile phone, the gorgeous Sony Ericsson T610, to really penetrate the market. People flocked to it in droves, partly due to the chic looks, but partly due to the fact that here, unique amongst mobile phones at the time, Sony Ericsson had made a small, compact, ultra-sleek phone, with a camera built in (yes, that was how people reacted)!
The story of camera-equipped Sony Ericsson mobile phones continues today, but now... the playing field has been split into the top-end and... well, the spiritual descendant of the T610.
Sony Ericsson S302 - need to takes snapshots? Use a Snapshot mobile phone!
Recently announced is a new handset from Sony Ericsson that is set to corner the market on entry-level, mid-range camera-equipped mobile phones. After all, the Cyber-Shot has the top-end sewn up (more on that in a second), so why not make a cheap, cheerful mobile phone that makes taking snapshots easy? That's exactly what Sony Ericsson have done with the S302 (the S, in fact, meaning Snapshot). So, you get a 2 megapixel camera, with flash, and although it doesn't have autofocus (come on, this IS an entry level mobile phone), it does have the sleek user interface from recent Sony Ericsson camera-equipped mobile phones. The bottom line is: if you want a really, really nice (and fun) phone, and you want to occasionally snap photos at parties, or if something funny happens around you, the Sony Ericsson S302 Snapshot is the PERFECT mobile phone for you!
Sony Ericsson C905 - the new king of camera phones
Sony Ericsson have the low-to-mid-range camera phone market pretty much in the bag, thanks to the S302, but what about the top-end market? That is where the awesome Sony Ericsson C905 comes in. Sony Ericsson have a history of releasing stunning mobile phones under the Cyber-Shot banner, and this one is no exception, as it's the UK's first 8 megapixel mobile phone. It truly is stunning, and the picture quality surpasses any other mobile phones on the market (actually, it surpasses some digital cameras, too)! Packed with more features than any other camera phone, and with super fast internet access, the Sony Ericsson C905 truly is the best camera-equipped mobile phone in the world!
