First things first, what are you going to advertise? If it's a few products you don't really need much besides eBay or even Yahoo auctions, put those items up and make sure you have a decent picture of it and a good description too. Remember just because you feel you should get $50 out of a game, you're not going to get that so don't set your sites way too high. With eBay and Yahoo, you have built in advertising so you won't really have to worry about your items being found.

What about a lot of say 20 books, again, this would be more of an eBay item to put up, you can combine all 20 books, or separate them to try and earn more hopefully. Remember to figure in what the shipping will cost, but don't be ridiculous, this can lose you a sale very quickly by being stingy and trying to rip someone off for a bit of postage.

How about over a 100 items, like you make shirts and shorts. You have a unique product; you should go about this in several ways. First an eBay store would be a great start because you don't really have to advertise. You could also get one of those free websites and make your own store for your products. Both of these locations you can set up for the payments to be made by PayPal, which is pretty much the largest and easiest way to make payments on items you purchase online.

Maybe you have a few friends who also have websites see if you can put a small banner up to link to your website and your items. This will not be too much if it's a simple banner; the fancier it is the more the banner will cost you. But it would be well worth it if you got just an extra ten people who went to your website.

Everyone who goes to your website will see your advertising you have made, and also your products they will decide if they would like to get one or more of the items you have. Plus when they purchase something they may very well say something to other people that they know. This is free word of mouth advertising that all business people love to get. Get out there and see if you can put a dent into the business world!
